A country on the coast

A country on the coast

„To travel far, there is no better ship than a book.“
                                                                                                Emily Dickinson

A book is a medium through which readers are transported to distant worlds within their own minds. It is an interface of imagination.

The pavilion is conceived as this interface — a dreamlike landscape suspended between reality and imagination. This idea permeates the entire pavilion and becomes the exhibition’s leitmotif. Rather than being confined to a specific area, the exhibition is integrated throughout the space, at times taking center stage and elsewhere forming a subtle backdrop to individual activities.

The pavilion also engages visitors directly through interactive stations powered by artificial intelligence, infused with a distinctively Czech sense of humor and perspective.

The concept is reflected in the pavilion’s form through soft, abstract pneumatic structures that create a playful landscape of imagination. These lightweight, easily transportable, and reusable elements offer a sustainable solution for a temporary structure, while modular furnishings allow for simple assembly, disassembly, and future reuse.

The exhibition itself relies on intangible means of expression, including scenographic lighting, projections, and generative content. Modular LED panels and projection systems present additional material within the exhibition spaces. Together, these elements shape an immersive atmosphere, allowing the pavilion to become a true interface of imagination.
